National 7v7 Football Association announces first wave of 2014 events

The National 7v7 Football Association released its first wave of 2014 events today via press release. The season kicks off in Miami, Fla., with the AIRO 7v7 South Florida National Championship Qualifier and includes trips to 19 different locations during the four month event cycle.

BRADENTON, Fla. (December 10, 2013) – The National 7v7 Football Association (NFA7v7) has announced the first wave of qualifying events for the IMG7v7 National Championship at IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla., June 20-22, 2014. This year’s schedule will introduce NFA7v7 to new cities like Houston, Texas, Baltimore, Md., New York City, N.Y., and Washington D.C., with more dates to be added in the coming weeks.

This year, working together with 7v7 organizations such as AIRO Athletics and Core 6 that attract the nation’s elite prospects each year, every sanctioned event will qualify directly into the season-ending championship. The top-four teams from each of the IMG7v7 Regional events will secure a place in the IMG7v7 National Championship.

This year also marks an expansion of the Future STARS division that was introduced at the 2013 IMG7v7 National Championship. The Future STARS features middle school club teams (7th and 8th grade). Select events will feature the division as part of the tournament, and several Future STARS-only events are set to be announced in the spring.
